I am so thrilled that the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog is available! I had been providing sneak peeks, but now you can enjoy shopping any of the products I share!
As I have mentioned before, I am a bit of a Halloween nut! I love decorating my home for Halloween, Dressing up, attending parties, and even making Halloween goodies to eat. My family has known for years it is my favorite holiday so they would be shocked if they didn’t get a Halloween card from me! That means I have lots of them to make. Usually between 15-20. Not as many as Christmas but still quite a few! I try to make every single card different so they all get something new. So of course I needed all the Halloween sets Stampin’ Up offered in the new catalog so I can have a good variety of cards.
Today I decided to use the new set called Tee Hee Hee. It is a fun set filled with puny sentiments and witchy themed stamps. I had an idea right away when I saw the set so here it is:
Purple, Green and Black – the perfect mix of witchy Halloween colors! I liked the witches night out sentiment and decided to make it appear that the witch hung up her hat for the evening to head out for a night on the town! Even though she is “off duty” her potions are boiling away in the cauldron. 🙂 There was some fussy cutting in making this card. To make the oozing potion I stamped the cauldron and then cut it out to use as a template to then make an Old Olive overlay that appears to be dripping potion. I think it really adds to the appearance. I hope you enjoy this card. I think one of my special friends will get to receive it!
Update: I just found a Halloween card challenge blog -woohoo! Now I can make them all the time if I want to! Anyhoo, I think I will enter this card over at Left of Center. It doesn’t follow their current theme, but they said Halloween cards are allowed anytime so what the heck!

Happy Sunday crafty folks!
I am posting my last sneak peek for the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog because it will be available on August 28 which is right around the corner! This card is one that I am still not sure I like, but I wanted to post it to show off one of the new stamps sets.
I am not sure if this card looks a little too busy… what do you think? The little tree is cute right? That is just one of five to choose from in this new stamp set called Festival of Trees. It also comes with a matching punch making it super easy to crank out lots of great Christmas cards with this versatile set! The sentiment is from the set as well. The pretty green striped paper is also a new DSP called Under the Tree. It is very sturdy kraft paper and you could easily make adorable boxes or other types of goody containers (as I already did in a previous post!).
Well that is it for my sneak peeks! I hope it helped you get excited about the fun things you will be able to purchase in just a few days. Of course, if you need any Stampin’ Up! supplies contact me by email at email@example.com, call me at 847-854-7934 or just got to my webpage at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/thescraptree/ .

I have been getting a little behind in using my latest Paper Pumpkin goodies so I still have some goodies left over from last month’s box. We received these adorable boxes that can be decorated and I kept looking at them thinking, I want to turn that into something Halloween themed! So that is just what I did, check it out:
I think it turned out like a nice combination of spooky and cute. To make this I added some black washi tape in all the white stripes of the box. Then I stamped the pumpkin and bat and cut them out to adhere them to a tag use the scallop tag punch. I stamped polka dots from the latest Paper Pumpkin kit onto the tag and then I made a flower with the spiral flower die Stampin’ up has,but I used my fringe scissors to cut into the petals in the hope of making it look more tattered. Let me know what you think and if you haven’t tried My Paper Pumpkin yet, now is the time! You can still get the first two months for half price if you sign up before September 10! Contact me if you want more information!
I also want to enter this project over at the My Paper Pumpkin Challenge this month. The challenge theme this month is Wishes and Stars…..hmmmm I guess mine would count as Happy Halloween wishes, right? 😉
