More Fun with Fall Fest and the Weekly Deals!

Happy Thursday everyone!

I am trying to get some crafting in whenever I can.  Since I am still prepping for swaps I have coming up it was imperative that I fit time in last night so I could have 12 cards ready to go.  Fall is slowly showing its face here in the Chicago suburbs so I was still in the mood to make a fall themed card.  I decided to use Fall Fest once more and I think it turned out really cute!

These new in colors lend themselves perfectly to all the fall projects I have. The burlap ribbon just really brings it all together too! I chose to use a thankful sentiment but I really think this card could be used for many different occasions: Birthday, Just because or even Sympathy.

I would like to enter this card over at Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog as their current challenge theme is  Awesome Autumn. I have to agree that Autumn is in fact Awesome!  🙂

I am very late getting this information out but I wanted to be sure and post about the weekly deals that came out on Tuesday!

Back to crafting!

I had a week long hiatus of no crafting which was not fun at all! But when you go out of town, it is hard to find ways to do some papercrafting! I need to do lots of crafting this week because I signed up for two swaps and I don’t even know what I am going to make yet!  Maybe I will come up with something before I hit the sack tonight.

I have been wanting to come up with some additional fun ways to use all the Holiday stamp sets I have recently acquired. I remembered that my nieces birthday is the first day of fall so why not make her card fall themed? That is just what I did:

Those leaves from the Fall Fest stamps set are so cute! To make this card I stamped each leaf in the color I wanted but then used a marker to color in the stem. It worked out great! I simply added a happy birthday sentiment inside and voila, I had a fall birthday card! I sure hope she likes it!

I would also like to enter this card in the current challenge at SUO Challenges.  The current theme is Featuring Embellishments and since I used two types of ribbon, I think that works!

A little recognition!

Hi Crafty friends!

I am still knee deep in my townhome updates and have barely had any time to create. This made it extra special to find out that I was selected by a fellow stamper to be featured on her blog today! Here is the card of mine that she chose to feature:

A couple of Christmas Cards

I don’t have quite as much time to create here lately. I had been out of work for some time due to a back injury and while I was recovering from surgery I could craft when I felt up to it and rest when I needed to do so.  Now I am back at work and have much less time to sit at my craft desk.  🙁  I will still try to share creations, promotions and anything cool that I find out about in the paper crafting community as often as I can!

I was able to re-make one of my previous Christmas cards and I actually like this version much better:

When I made the previous card it just felt to busy to me. I like this one much better. Your eyes know right where to look and there is balance. While I was in the Christmas card making spirit I decided to use the same paper and make a totally different one:

The funny thing about this one is now I think it might be a little too busy! We are never satisfied with our own creations, right? I may try to work on a variation of it again in the future. Both of these cards were quite easy to make so give something similar a try!

I really like my first card the most so I think I will enter it in the current challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. The current theme is Challenge # 40 – Anything Goes, perfect!

Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned, I sure hope I find some time to create!
