Hello Crafty Friends,
Finally back with a project to show you. I chose to use the Happy Scenes stamp set because we truly need some Happiness in our lives these days with all that is going on in the world. I have had some challenges in coming up with Christmas cards this year so I was glad to have a cute little idea pop into my head.
To make this card I used Soft Sky and Cherry Cobbler in and paper. The image was stamped using Memento Black. It is hard to tell in this picture but the sky was colored in lightly with a sponge and there is also lightly falling snow. This was stamped using the small circles in the Happy Scenes set with versamark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The idyllic scene is framed out using the window die from the Hearth and Home Thinlit set. I chose to use the Elegant Dots Texture Impression Embossing folder to make it appear like it was a wallpaper on the inside of the house. I finished things off with the Cherry Cobbler Twine and the simple Noel sentiment which is also part of the Happy Scenes stamp set. This was cut out using the smallest of the Lots of Labels Framelits.
Now on to the weekly deals:
Great Christmas items on the deals list today to help you get your Christmas card finished!
One more thing I cannot forget to post about is the retiring list! Yep, Stampin’ Up! has put together a list of items that will soon be retiring so don’t miss out on your favorites!
Here are a couple of quick notes on the retiring items:
- Orders can be placed as a customer, workshop, or online order.
- Retiring products are only available while supplies last. The lists of retiring products will be updated every business day by 4:00 PM (MT). (not on this blog, but on the SU website)
- Remaining inventory for retiring products may appear later on the Clearance Rack.
- Due to high demand for retiring stamps, SU will keep producing retiring stamps until December 28 (not accessories-accessories are only while supplies last).
I hope you are having a good week!
