I am back to share another Limited Time Sale-A-Bration Stamp set idea. When I saw this set I immediately knew I wanted to pick it as my freebie item because it could be used for so many occasions. I wanted you to see this for yourself, so I have three very similar cards I made that you can try your self!
You can see that I played around with different folds, using embossing folders and not using embossing folders and also different ribbon! The card layout is the same, but it is easily changed up to be for each recipient. The pretty watercolor/swirl paper is the Perfectly Artistic DSP and is also part of the Sale-A-Bration freebies. The Hello Stamp set and this paper will only be available through February 15th! The balloons are part of the cute Balloon Celebration Stamp set and were easily punched out using the Balloon Bouquet punch. For the color on the little party hats I actually used my blender pens and the corresponding ink pads. This is because I don’t have the markers in those colors. It would have looked cute all one color too, but I thought it would be fun to make then two-toned. The tiny thread you see holding the balloons is the Silver Metallic Thread available in the annual catalog.
I hope I provided you some inspiration! Now on to the weekly deals!
Somehow I also missed posting about a fun Paper Pumpkin deal going on during Sale-A-Bration as well. Here are the details:
It is so great you can buy the pre-paid subscription and be eligible for the Sale-A-Bration items!
That is all for me today, hope your week goes smoothly and is filled with crafty joy!
I am back to share another card I made and happy to report I am feeling much better. I am so happy I have improved and could not wait to get to my craft desk.
The card I am sharing today may be just a little special as it is the actual birthday of the person who will receive it! Happy Birthday to my nephew Cranston! Now, I need to remember to post my other niece and nephew birthday cards on their birthdays or I am going to be in trouble for that shout out! 😉
I had fun mixing my freebie Sale-A-Bration stamp set (Sky is the Limit) and the Number of Years stamp set. I wanted the concept of this card to be that he was flying away from his younger years and soaring right on into 14. I think it worked! The cloud paper is from the Sweet Lil Things DSP in the annual catalog and it works great with this stamp set. I should mention that this particular set is only available as a free item for a limited time – through, Feb 15th, so if you like it you should order your $50.00 worth of items soon! The plane and the cute little stamped clouds are part of that set. I fussy cut the plane and added in some color with my Soft Sky and Smokey Slate blendabilities. Though SU no longer sells these, they work great for me so I am still using them. If you prefer alcohol markers, then Copics would be an alternate choice. However, I think with the small amount of coloring I did you could easily use our blender pens with the ink color of your choice, or even the Stampin’ Write markers. The card base and stamped numbers are all in Pool Party, but I think my coloring is close enough that it works.
I am entering this card in the current challenge over at What Will You Stamp today. Here is the challenge theme:
Now let’s see what the Weekly Deals are for the week!
That’s all for me today. I will be back soon with my projects to share!
I’m here! Yes still alive, barely. I am sick. Sick enough that I haven’t felt like sitting at my scrap table for nearly a week.
Scary, right? Well I can finally sit upright so I thought it was time to share something I made before I became sick. January is one of the heaviest birthday months of the whole year for my family so I actually need to be making lots of them. Hopefully some of my family members will understand if a few are late this year.
I am so in love with this paper. My last project included the Shine On DSP as well. This one showcases a few more of the beautiful designs included. When I saw the cloud paper I just knew I needed to have balloons with it! I used the Balloon Celebration stamp set to stamp the balloon strings on Watermelon Wonder paper. Then I punched out the balloons with the Balloon Bouquet punch and popped them up on dimensionals. The sentiments is also from the same stamp set and could additionally be used as part of the string of a balloon on another card. I did choose to use the Silver Cording Trim from my holiday catalog because I loved the look. If you don’t have this you could easily use white twine and it would look just as pretty.
While I am still feeling well enough to be up and about, I am going to see if I can find some creative juices in this foggy head to make more birthday cards.
I am finally back from my lovely holiday time spent with family and ready to share latest Stampin’ Up! news! The occasions catalog sales period begins today, as well as the most exciting event of the year: Sale-A-Bration! What is Sale-A-Bration? Well, when you spend $50 on products from the brand-new occasions catalog (or any other current Stampin’ Up! publication), you will get a FREE exclusive Sale-A-Bration product! How about that for a new way to start your year? In honor of the new catalog starting today I have an adorable birthday card that really shows off some of the super, duper new products available.
How adorbs is this? I think that is the phrase kids are using these days. I figure since this card is for a tween I should use the latest lingo. 😉 To make this card I started with a card base of Watermelon Wonder. Then a added a beautiful pattern I liked from the new Shine On DSP. I LOVE this paper. I can see myself buying more than one pack of it! It is full of beautiful colors mixed with the soothing Kraft color cardstock. It also has some Silver accents as you can see in the small balloon. Speaking of balloons, we have a new balloon punch! It is called the Ballon Bouquet punch. It punches both the small and the large size balloon and coordinates with a few of the stamp sets in the catalog. To make the center of the card I used a layer of vellum from the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum stack. This is one of the freebie items you can get when spending $50.00! I then used my Scalloped Circle punch on Kraft paper so it could be my background to the numbers. Those versatile numbers are part of a new stamp set and Framelit die bundle which includes the option to make them into birthday, anniversary, school grades and more! Once I knew where I wanted to place the numbers I stamped the Happy and the Birthday. This allowed me to add in the flowers with some idea of where the numbers would be. The flowers are also part of the Number of Years stamp set. When I finished with that I cut out the vellum and the Whisper White I stamped on with my Oval Framelits. I then stamped the TH on Whisper White and cut it out with the tiny banner included in the Large Numbers Framelit Die set. I added the numbers on with dimensionals and finished off the card with tiny pearls in the flowers.
There are so many adorable items in this new catalog, I had trouble choosing what to use first. I will say I believe this Numbers Stamp set and Die set will be quite popular, so if you think you need it don’t hestitate or it may go on back order!
