Rooted in Nature Masculine Thank You Card

Hello Creative Friends!

I have a handsome, masculine card to share with you today. I really needed a suitable thank you card to give to my neighbor. You see, he was kind enough to cut up an entire tree that fell in our yard with his chainsaw. The tree didn’t even come from his yard! Needless to say, he saved us a ton of money and needed a proper thank you card to go with his gift.

The Rooted in Nature set is such a good one to have on hand to make either natural or masculine cards. I also think the Pinewood Planks embossing folder I used really ties in the rustic, wood theme I have going on this card. I started with a card base in Mossy Meadow. To get the appearance you see with the embossing folder, I inked up my Pinewood Planks folder with Soft Suede ink and ran it through my big shot using Gray Granite card stock. Inked and embossed all in one! I actually layered this embossed paper onto a layer of Sahara Sand because I thought it needed just a little something more to offset the Mossy Meadow.

Next, it was time for the stamped images. Everything but the Thank You is part of the Rooted in Nature stamp set. The Thank You is from the Accented Blooms stamp set and was stamped in Soft Suede and then punched out with the Tailored Tag punch. The Tree image was stamped in Mossy Meadow. The cut slice of a tree image was stamped in Sahara Sand and the little branches were stamped in Sahara Sand and Gray Granite. All of these were stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. I used the Nature’s Roots Dies to cut out these images with the exception of the cut slice of the tree. There is no die for that so I simply fussy cut it. I added this to the card with dimensionals and added some Burlap Ribbon behind all the images. I finished it off with Gold Metallic Pearls.

I should make a few of these cards because it is a really good idea to have masculine thank you cards on hand. I hope this gives you some inspiration! I will be back again soon so share more fun creations!
