Hello Creative Friends!
I always seem to have plenty of Birthdays in my family. This means I need a nice variety of birthday cards ready to go. I decided that the Birthday Backgrounds stamp set would be a perfect set to have on hand for the many birthday cards I might need. Here is one of the first cards I have made with this set!
Using most of the stamps from the Birthday Background stamp set and cutting it out with circles looks like there is a birthday party on the card, right? I used Mint Macaron and Gray Granite as my two main colors. I ran a piece of Gray Granite through my big shot with the Corrugated 3D embossing folder and layered that with Whisper White card stock. I used various sized of circle dies from my Layering Circle Dies to cut out the stamped images and matching card stock behind the each stamped image. I layered them on the card until I liked the way it looked and then added some of the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon across the front of the circles. The happy birthday sentiment is from the I Say Hello stamp set and was cut out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I added that across the Ribbon with dimensionals. I then added a knot of the same ribbon next to the sentiment. The final touch was some of the Balmy Blue sequins from the Gingham Gala Adhesive Back Sequins pack. Even though they are Balmy Blue they give off a silver-iridescent look on the card!
It would be easy to re-create this card with many types of background or varied image stamps you may have so give it a try!
I will be back soon with more creative inspiration and exciting news from Stampin’ Up!
