I hope your Easter was wonderful! I really enjoyed some quality time in my craft space. I was able to pull together another card with some of my left over scraps and I had to share this with you. Aren’t we always looking for ways to use up our scraps?
I had strips of these papers leftover from another project. The patterned papers are part of a coordinating set called Gold Soiree. I just laid the strips of paper diagonally on a layer of whisper white and snipped off the edges. It really makes a pretty background page! I then used my circle Framelits and Sunburst Framelits to anchor the sentiment and make it pop. I made the sentiment layers by using the Chalk talk Framelits for the top layer and the Scallop Tag Topper punch for base layer. The sentiment is from the Fabulous Four stamp set. This could easily be used for lots of occasions and it a quick and easy card to make using your scraps!
Over at The Paper Players their current challenge is to Use a Die Cut. I used all kinds of them in this card so I am entering the card in their challenge.
Don’t forget that today is the day Free Shipping starts with Stampin Up!
We are getting close to the end of the workweek – Yahoo!! I am so ready to have some time to be creative again and due to my work schedule it is very hard to do that during the week.
For today’s card I decided to go a little non-traditional in that I did not use red and green colors. I still used Christmas themed paper though! Check it out:
For this card I once again used paper from the Trim the Tree DSP paper stack! As you can tell there is lots of variety in this paper stack. I wanted to be sure and give it some flare so I also used that beautiful silver glimmer paper too. The stamp set used is actually a project life set – Project Life Holiday Cheer stamp set. It has all kinds of great variety for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Halloween and I like that is is on the smaller side so I can use it with cards and scrapbooking. Even though I used silver Glimmer paper I still chose to use gold trim because the base of the card is the Brushed Gold. The accent stars also have some of that gold paper that I punched out with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. It layers very well with the smallest star from the framelits. I also used a fun new embossing folder that looks a bit like the trees in the DSP to bring it all together.
I hope you are having a fantastic Thursday! Be sure to come back tomorrow for my last Star themed Christmas card!

This card is simple and fast, and it was literally made with “scraps”! Do you ever have those moments when you are looking at all the items you have laying on your craft desk and think, there has to be something I can make out of this. That is just what I did!
I used the negative of the stars I had cut out for other projects and positioned them in a cluster. Then I simply cut a one inch strip of glimmer paper and a 3/4 inch strip of Cherry Cobbler to accent the stars. I tied some Cherry Cobbler twine around the paper and added a Merry Christmas Sentiment from the Merry Everything Stamp set. This card could be pulled together in 5-10 minutes so it would be a great one to make in the masses if you have lots of cards to send out.
I sure hope I am helping you crafty folks come up with Christmas card ideas if you don’t already have them! Come back tomorrow for more inspiration with Stars!

Today’s card features two great stamp sets being offered by Stampin’ Up. The versatile Bright and Beautiful Star stamp set and the fun Cheerful Tags stamp set.
I really do love these stars and the tag stamp is something that could be used year round. The little tree detail is also part of the Cheerful Tags set. This card really pops with all the silver emobssing and the thin layer of shiny silver foil sheet. I also used the Trim the Tree DSP paper to add in a little patterned detail.
Hope you like this card! Check back in a little later for updates on the weekly deals!
