The day of hearts and flowers is so close, are you ready? You’re not? Well, I have a super easy card you could make in no time!
It doesn’t get more simple than this! All you need to make this card is Paper, Ink and Stamps! I used two stamps from the Meant to Be stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in Flirty Flamingo and the heart was stamped in Real Red. The Designer Series Paper is part of the All My Love Designer Series Paper pack and it was gives this card the wow factor even though it is such a simple card to make. The DSP was cut at 3 1/8 X 5 1/2. I added a small strip of Flirty Flamingo to make a transition color between the card base and the DSP. The card base is Real Red card stock. The card base is cut to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. I added a layer of Real Red behind the stamped heart. The dimensions of this layer is 2 3/8 X 2 3/8. The Whisper White square for the stamped image is 2 1/4 X 2 1/4. I popped up the sentiment using dimensionals and added a little bit of Clear Wink of Stella on the flower part of the heart.
You could easily make this card with any patterned paper you have that has a Valentine theme. One interesting fact is that the Designer Series Paper actually has Lovely Lipstick as the color in the hearts, but Real Red still looks great with it too! I love how versatile Stampin’ Up! makes their colors and papers!!
I hope you are getting all your Valentine treats ready to go and enjoying some crafty fun too. Come back soon for inspiration!
I have a pretty and simple card to share with you today. I chose to add no sentiment to this card but so I could use it for various occasions. It has little Valentines Day flair so I might just add a Happy Valentines Day sentiment to the inside!
To make this card I started with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 size card base in Lovely Lipstick card stock. I then folded the card in half (or it could be scored at 4 1/4 and then folded). To make the front z-fold you simple fold the front flap in half backwards. If you prefer you could score the front flap at 2 1/8 longways and then fold it backwards. This gives you the the front z fold to allow you to add the panel with the stamped image. The panel was made with Soft Sea Foam cut to 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. The Whisper White with the stamped image is cut to 3 x 4-1/4 . I used the Forever Lovely stamp set for all the images on the card. This beautiful stamp set is part of the DistINKtive stamps offered by Stampin’ Up! so they are etched to show wonderful detail. I used Lovely Lipstick ink to stamp the flowers and Soft Seafoam to stamp the leaves. I used the Lovely Flowers Edgelits dies to cut out the single flower and accompanying leaves. The ribbon is part of the All My Love Ribbon pack. This includes the Lovely Lipstick ribbon I used and a skinny Flirty Flamingo ribbon. I added some of the All My Love Designer Series Paper to the front flap of my z-fold. Once I had the front panel assembled I adhered it the card adding adhesive to the left side only. That is all there is to it!
Are you busy getting cards finished for Valentines day? The stamp set and dies used to make this card would be great for this occasion! Heading to my website to grab these great items by clicking here.
I am back to share a lovely and simple Valentine you could give to just about anyone. In fact, it wouldn’t even have to be a Valentine. It could also be used to lift someone’s spirits or make them feel extra special.
The star of this card is the beautiful Be Mine Stitched Framelits. There are many different heart shapes and sizes in the set. I used a plain heart to cut out the pretty All My Love Designer Series paper and then I used a stitched heart to cut from the Sale-A-Bration freebie paper. This is the Foil paper in Lovely Lipstick. Isn’t it goregous? The tiny little hearts I scattered around were also cut using another die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits set. The Just for You sentiment is part of the Meant to Be Stamp set. I used a smaller heart to cut out the sentiment and as you can see it just barely fits! I used the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut out a large background page in Soft Seafoam card stock. I added some 1/8 inch Grosgrain Ribbon in Lovely Lipstick. I layered all of this on Crumb Cake cardstock.
Now is truly one of the best times to shop for the great items used to make this card. Not only do you have wonderful supplies for many occasions, but you get FREE products for every $50.00 you spend! Remember, Sale-A-Bration only lasts through March 31st and sometimes they run out of the items they are offering in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Once those are gone, they are truly gone!
February is here which means love is in the air! Are you busy thinking about those you love? I am, which prompted me to come up with a simple Valentine’s Day card.
I wanted to see if I could come up with a Valentine using many of products I already had on hand. I should mention there is one lovely new item on this card, and that is the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. You can’t go wrong with stripes, right? The bigger heart was made using Cherry Cobbler and Powder Pink ink and my Aqua painter. I continued with the stripped theme using light strokes on watercolor paper. Once I had a look that I liked I cut it out with a heart from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits. To make the other heart I started with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and colored it in with my Cherry Cobbler Blends marker. I must be sure to note that you have to be VERY careful if you choose to try this. The glimmer paper is very coarse and the blends marker tip is easily frayed on a surface of this nature. I found that if I made very light strokes in one direction it seemed to work fine without damaging the tip of the marker. I was very happy with the result because it is a different color than a true red glitter paper. The heart I used to cut out the Glimmer Paper is part of the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. For the sentiment I used the love, also from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits; and the You from the Celebrate You Thinlits set. This is a Sale-A-Bration item you can get when you spend $100.00. I guess that is one other new item I used after all! I did add some Clear Wink of Stella over the top of the YOU so it would pop a little better. To finish things off I added Glitter Enamel Dots in the lighter Berry Burst color. The card stock used is Powder Pink, Whisper White and Sahara Sand.
Did this give you some inspiration to get to work on your Valentine cards? I hope so!
Even though we are in the final days before Christmas, I have started thinking ahead about the holidays and activities coming up after Christmas. That is because as demonstrator I am fortunate enough to order items from our NEW upcoming catalog that comes out on January 5, 2016. There are so many pretty and awesome items in this new catalog I almost did not know where to begin. I decided that since Valentines day is the next bigger Holiday I would start there.
Isn’t that die cut heart gorgeous? Practically all of the items used on this card are part of the new catalog so I would be able to give a full supply list until that comes out in January. However, I decided to make a video to show off the die, the stamps and the awesome new tool we have to use that helps with getting all those little pieces out of the intricate dies!
Watch the video to see how I made this card!
I hope you enjoyed the video! These products will be available as of January 5, 2016. If you need a catalog, let me know and I will send you one.
